• Tonight, we invite you to the French Riviera, one of the most exciting places on earth – without ever boarding a plane! And celebrate Mardi Gras and the Carnival of Nice on French soil as we welcome you to a special evening at the Embassy of France!

• From the elegance of classical French culture to the most celebrated Rivera nightlife of the 21st Century, experience a special evening of fantastic French food, wine, music and ambiance.

• In order to limit the number of tickets available and to make your experience not only first-class but also healthy, this is a VIP Exclusive event

Enjoy the flavors of Nice, Monaco, and St. Tropez in the beautiful and festive Maison Francaise at the French embassy.

On the Menu: Delicious French food

• Jarret de Veau braisé façon Osso Buco, sauce Tomate, câpres et Olives, Polenta au Romarin, Gremolata au citron - a Fabulous Mediterranean dish prepared by: 

• Chef Gerard Bertholon, Maitre Cuisinier de France and Chef Olivier Geyer at premium food company Cuisine Solutions 

• [en] Braised Veal Osso Buco, Tomato capers, Olives sauce, Rosemary Polenta, and Lemon Gremolata.

• Hors-d'oeuvres prepared by Chef Daniel Labonne, Executive Chef of the French and German Embassies

• Ham by Jambon de Bayonne

• Delicious French baguettes and toasts from Fresh Baguette. 

• All guests will leave with a baguette from Fresh Baguette. 

• Come and try your luck at the wheel of fortune to win French pastries from Fresh Baguette.

• French Crepes prepared by Chef Hugh Cossard, Maître Chef Rôtisseur - Chef/Culinary Instructor at Stratford University and owner of FoodExpression Concept Company.

Live Music All Night - Dancing is back!

• Classic French songs by Jennifer Bergamot Rose (VIP Hour).

• Then, the Jazz band Crush Funk Brass will showcase their talent and perform jazzy songs!

• Finally, listen to the Reservoir Frogs - enjoy the live talents of the famed rock band formed of members of the French Embassy's own staff. . As if you were strolling down the Champs Elysees with a glass of wine in hand. The mood is set: it's a celebration!

• A DJ will then finish the night by spinning French, European, and American songs amongst a fabulous light show. Get your dancing shoes!

• Be a part of the Carnival of Nice, one of the world's largest carnivals. Mardi Gras Style beads will be offered to all guests upon arrival. 

• Carnival Fashion Competition (Optional): dress in your original chic and creative carnival outfits! 

• One King and one Queen winner will be selected as the Carnival by virtue of their outfits and receive special prizes.

• Monte Carlo Casino mock-up: In the Spirit of Monaco, spin the wheel and try your luck at roulette. (Mock gambling).

• DC's own rugby team Old Glory DC will be giving away swag, game tickets, etc.

• French photo backgrounds for great-looking selfies

• Take amazing pictures with the most unconventional French cars you will ever find: 
  • An 80’s Citroen station CX wagon - built by the French manufacturer Citroen 
  • And meet Germoline, a 2CV - "Deux Chevaux", the most emblematic French automobile by Citroen.

5 Types of Tickets:

• Cannes VIP Reception: walk the red carpet at 7pm, and stay until the end of the event. Enjoy a glass of Champagne when you arrive, special hors-d'oeuvres prepared by the French Embassy's Executive Chef Daniel Labonne, high-end wines from France, and live French songs and music. No reserved seating. 

• Monte Carlo Table Service for Singles: From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes VIP Reception). You will seat at a reserved table in a ropped-off prime area, with up to 3 others guests. Unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables. Please reserve early. An opportunity to make new friends and maybe plan a trip together on the French Riviera? 

• Monte Carlo Table Service for Couples: From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes VIP Reception). You will seat at a reserved table for just you two, in a roped-off prime area, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables so reserve early. 

• Monte Carlo Table Service for up to 4. From 7:00pm to 11:00pm (includes VIP Reception). You will seat at a reserved table for you and up to 3 of your friends, in a roped-off prime area, with unlimited Champagne, wine and personal service during the entire event. Very limited number of tables so reserve early. 

• St Tropez Tickets: Enter at 8pm. Open bar, food, music and entertainment. No guaranteed seating.

Please note that in order to ensure the safety of the event for all, the program has been especially tailored to ensure everyone not only has an enjoyable time during the evening, but also a safe time, so the number of tickets sold is limited. Tickets will go fast so register early.

Packages will be available for pickup when you leave the event.

• To ensure maximum safety for all our guests, proof of vaccination will be required for entry.

• No multiple registrations under a single name. ID will be required to enter the Embassy grounds.
• For table of 2 or 4, register a single person and we will be reaching out prior to the event for the names of your guests. 
• This is a fundraiser: please help the FACC continue to organize great events.
• It is also an excellent opportunity to stock up on excellent wine and food.
• For security reasons, there will be no parking inside the Embassy. Public parking is available on Reservoir Rd. However, we strongly advise you to use a car-sharing service.
• This is an adult-only event. No one under 21 allowed.
• Dress Code options: Cocktail attire or Carnival costume
• No refunds.
