Linda Rahal, Attorney / Shareholder / Chief Operating Officer
Linda is the Managing Shareholder at Trow & Rahal and has been with the firm since it was founded in 1993. Trow & Rahal focuses exclusively on immigration and nationality law, and Linda oversees the firm’s business immigration practice with an emphasis on visas and corporate immigration services for employers; I-9 and compliance; global visas; visas for athletes and persons of extraordinary ability; EB-5 and other visa options for investors and entrepreneurs; and citizenship and naturalization.
Linda’s reputation within the legal community has led to repeated selection by her peers for inclusion in prestigious publications including The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, the Legal Elite Readers Poll of SmartCEO magazine, Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Lawyers,” the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (Corporate Immigration), where Trow & Rahal is referred to as a “very good, very creative firm.” Chambers USA has recognized Linda for seven years, and for 2019 (Band 2 – Immigration) Chambers USA indicates, market sources report that Linda Rahal is ‘highly respected’. She specializes in handling complex matters to corporations and individual clients including athletes. Peers report that she is ‘excellent’.
Linda received her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the American University, Washington College of Law, and her B.A. degree, cum laude, in International Relations from Tufts University. She is a member of the District of Columbia (D.C.), Maryland, and American Bar Associations, and also served on the Steering Committee of the Law Practice Management section of the D.C. Bar. Linda is also a long-standing member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Trow & Rahal is a member of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF), the British-American Business Association, and the French-American Chamber of Commerce.
Linda has a reputation for being a lawyer who goes the distance to get the best possible outcome for clients and to deliver “winning immigration strategies”. An avid athlete, Linda has competed in numerous marathons and triathlons. As part of the CEO Ironman Challenge, she “went the distance” and competed in the World Championship Ironman Competition in Kona, Hawaii.
Steve Hamrick, Associate Attorney
Steve Hamrick joined the firm after a 24-year career as a federal regulatory attorney and litigator. Steve has assisted our clients in obtaining employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas, with a focus on O-1 and EB-1a petitions based upon extraordinary ability, L-1 and multinational managers or executive immigration visa petitions, and complex responses to Requests for Evidence for all types of cases.
Steve sits on the French-American Chamber of Commerce’s (FACC) Board of Directors, and is their Board’s Assistant Secretary. He is also Co-Chair of the FACC’s International Committee.
Before joining our firm, Steve spent nearly a quarter of a century representing corporate clients before federal and state agencies, as well as in litigation. Prior to practicing immigration law, several organizations and publications recognized Steve as being among the top ten attorneys in Maryland in his field. In 2011, Maryland’s Governor and the Chief Judge of Maryland’s Court of Appeals honored Steve for his work in the Maryland Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Project.
Steve earned his J.D. degree from American University’s Washington College of Law, and his B.A. degree from American University. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bar Associations.
