Giving Back in a Time of Need
Wednesday, February 17, 12:30pm
Let's celebrate this new year and show our gratitude and solidarity by giving back to our local DC community of women and children in need who are especially impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hear from leaders of two local DC community organizations, DC WISE and N STREET VILLAGE - on the work they do and community of women and children they serve.
DC WISE, Inc (DC Women In Solidarity for Empowerment) is a non-profit organization committed to investing in and enhancing organizations that positively impact the lives of women and children in the District of Columbia. Each year, DC WISE makes a 3-year commitment to a new partner organization to provide unrestricted funds to support their operations and programming. By supporting our partners through unrestricted funds we enable our partners to make nimble financial decisions – whether to add a staff member, fund a new program, or fill in the gaps where the city’s budget falls short.
